In the annals of the Astorstadt Walldorf July 23, the year 1858 was received as the day of the "large fire". This fire gave the cause for the establishment to the voluntary fire-brigade Walldorf in the year 1865. The fire-brigade men consisted of gymnast and members of the singing association.


Today the voluntary fire-brigade is a technically well equipped fire-brigade, which with 172 applications per year is also necessary. By the technical progress the fire-brigade experiences a constant change of its application request. If there was in the earlier years still in the majory fire-in-corrodes, the is today the technical assistance in the first place.These are people rescue with traffic accidents, removal of storm and damages caused by water as well as animal rescues.


In the year 2007 the voluntary fire-brigade was 172 times alarmed, thirtysix times more as last yrar. The voluntary firebrigade consists from members of the active department, to the senior department as well as of the youth fire-brigade and the marching band.. This results in 127 members. Alredy in the year 1968 the voluntary fire-brigade made itself one over the personal future of the resistance thought and created the youth fire-brigade, first in the Rhine-Neckar-region. The way trough the youth fire-brigade went to almost 90 % of the active members.


In the year 1928 the band of the fire-brigade was created, to which today 12 actives ones belong. This time are 1 pupil in development. One plays at birthdays of fire-brigade members, with fire-brigade celebrations and urban meetings.
